I recently spent several years working to get my administration license. I left the classroom to be an assistant principal. During this time the stress and focus on other things other than my own health led to some unhealthy habits (peanut M&Ms for example). I came to the conclusion when stress was feeling too much, that I needed to refocus. This meant taking time to eat healthy, exercise, and spend more time with family. I lost 40 pounds and took a chance on a new job as a principal in an elementary school. I felt strong, and proud of myself. I wanted to show myself through Renata’s lens what I saw in myself, a capable, strong, confident wife, mom, friends, principal, and so much more. Renata coached me out of my shell and comfort zone and brought out the inner beauty I sometimes overlook.
