Today, for the "Women's History Month" celebration, I would like to introduce this beautiful woman.

Meet Adalmira Simba, 37, a daughter, sister, friend and a resilient survivor...

"The world needs your answer, be authentic" - Adalmira Simba

I was born and raised in Angola, with her mom, 5 sisters and 1 brother.

My life has always been challenging from a very early age, I grew up without a father figure by my side, I always saw my mother sacrifice herself to support us. At the age of 10 I had to sell merchandise on the street to help bring food home, even without having shoes to go to school, I still made an effort to go to school because I knew I had to change the story of my life. I have always been a very persistent person and this is how I overcome challenges.

Despite all my suffering, I understood very early on that I needed to change the story of my life, to testify that no matter the circumstances or barriers, it is possible to win in life and change the cycle of our lives. All the stones served as tools for my growth and the victories I have achieved to date. For this reason, I refuse to be just "another" human being here in the world, I want to grow more and more and get to where I want to go, at least I am no longer in the place I was in the past. For this reason I created my own social project with the aim of helping people in need in Angola and some some other countries in Africa.

I understand that the highest level of poverty is when people don't have anything to eat, I've been through that phase and I know how much It's difficult, and this is one of the forces that drives me forward and serve people who suffer from basic needs. Countless times I've had *no* for an answer, I've been humiliated because of my appearance because people thought I didn't have the appearance to be part of certain places and environments. But all of this was necessary to birth the spirit of revolt and the need to prove to people that it's not about the place where a person grew up but what's inside them.

I have a degree in Marketing and Communication (graduated from Oscar Ribas College in Angola) and I am currently working at a marketing company.

From 2015 – 2018 I worked as administrative official of the Ministry of the interior of Angola, in Luanda, becoming the head of the marketing department in 2018 until 2021.

In 2022 I moved to Maine, USA, and began my new journey following my dreams.

I have already had many achievements, I consider myself a super blessed person because for someone who had a poor childhood without often having anything to eat, where I am now I consider myself a blessed and hardworking woman I have a professional career that grows every day I am a woman who seeks knowledge every day, I can help others who are currently in unfavorable conditions, I have a solidarity project that grows every day and I am building a brand here in USA (Immersionforsuccess.com) with the aim of helping people not giving up their own dreams and bring the right knowledge that it is possible if you go further through focus and discipline, and that it doesn't matter where you were born and raised, much less the social condition of your family.

What are you passions:

I am passionate about reading, listening to music and seeing new places. I really value my communion with God, my family and my dreams.

Advice to other women:

Don't give up on your dreams, don't give up your values, your beliefs, don't be around people who make you feel small and people who bring information that makes you stop believing what you believe in, don't lose your femininity

Another one of Adalmira's favorite quotes is:

"The Cross of Jesus Christ is the answer and believe in God's love for you!"

*****

Thank you, Adalmira, for sharing your story and empowering others!
